Centrax has always had a policy of investment in Research and Development, which has lead to significant improvements in both quality and cost of our products and services.

In the Gas Turbine division, this work has lead to the advanced Centrax Model 2000 generator set which uses the best of today's technology to deliver one of the most advanced generator sets available on the market.  This package boasts on skid control panels, revolutionary oil lubrication system and very low number of parts all of which have enabled us to both improve our product whilst reducing cost to our customers, both of the equipment itself and also the maintenance.

In the Turbine Components division, this work has lead to the Design and Development of equipment, processes and intellectual property to gain competitive advantage in the market place. This is achieved by an extremely capable Engineering Team and examples of R&D achievements include:

- CNC multi axis polishing machines

- Machine attachments for 5 axis generation of aerofoils with fully controlled Leading Edge shapes

- Twin Head CNC Grinding machines

- Extrusion Process for pre form production
